Mehdi Fatahbakhsh Deprived of Medical Prison Leave Due to Lack of Financial Resources
Mehdi Fatahbakhsh, post-election detainee arrested June 16, 2009, has spent part of his 14 month detention in solitary confinement and the rest in Ward 350 of the Evin Prison. He is being denied prison leave for medical treatment due to his family’s lack of financial resources to post bail.

Male and Female Students Beaten at Azad University by Security Forces
On Saturday, September 25, students trying to enter Azad University of Rasht were denied if any males were wearing short sleeve shirts or if female students were wearing ‘bad hejab’. As students began to protest, university security forces began beating students in order to quell any defiance.

Ahvaz City Council Member Dariush Mombaini Detained
Mombaini is yet another member of the Ahvaz City Council who has been detained before appearing at a press conference held yesterday. He had filed a complaint in court against the Mayor of Ahvaz for publishing a confidential letter regarding the Conflict Resolution Council.
Zia Nabavi Severely Beaten Upon Arrival at Ahvaz Prison
Ziaeddin (Zia) Nabavi , a student deprived of continuing his education at Noushiravini University of Technology, had been sentenced to ten years in prison and exile. His exile location was changed in recent days from Izeh Prison to Ahvaz Central Prison and after arriving he was severely beaten and held in solitary confinement for 48 hours and is currently in very poor condition.
Noushin Ahmadi-Khorasani Summoned to the Prosecutor’s Office in Evin Prison
Noushin Ahmadi-Khorasani, a women’s rights researcher, editor of the feministschool.com website, and a member of the One Million Signature Campaign, has been transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office In Evin Prison in order to “explain several issues” and there has been no information on her condition.
One Million Signatures Campaign Activist Navid Mohebbi Detained
Navid Mohebbi, blogger and One Million Signatures Campaign activist has been detained on September 18, 2010. He was detained when 8 security forces raided the house of his father in the city of Amol and transferred him to the Sari Prison. There are reports that he was beaten when arrested and the security forces threatened his family by firearms.
