Bamdad News- Following the demonstrations to protest the arrest of Ali Parviz and Soheil Mohammadi in Khajeh Nasir University, plainclothes forces, along with basij members of the university, attacked the protesters and created chaos at the university’s civil engineering campus.
According to Amir Kabir news agency, after the announcement of a protest demonstration by Khajeh Nasir students on Sunday November 22nd, outside plainclothes forces were sent to help the university’s basij members surround the university area to prevent the protest. They placed Hezbollah flags atop the campus’s front gate. They also tried to provoke the students by calling Mir Hossein Mousavi and Karroubi disrespectful names.
From the beginning of the day, the university’s security forces prevented students from other campuses to join the civil engineering protesters. When the number of students who were behind the gates of the university reached 500, police forces showed up at the scene and forced the students to leave. The special forces and anti-riot police took control over the front gates of the university and blocked any students from entering. Students from other campuses who the guards confronted went into the mechanical engineering campus and continued their protests there. The students condemned the repressive response of the coup d’état regime and called for the release of Ali Parviz and Soheil Mohammadi.
Meanwhile, the civil engineering students started their protests despite the pressures of the university basij and the plainclothes forces. At this point, the basijis and the plainclothes forces attacked the students and prevented their demonstrations.
