UPDATE: Habibollah Latifi’s Niece: My Family’s Whereabouts Are Still Unknown

The Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR) - Eight members of Habibollah Latifi’s family have been arrested and there is no news available on their condition. The night before, Habibollah Latifi’s scheduled execution at [Sanandaj prison] did not take place.

According to the reports received by Sanandaj residents, the Internet connection speed in the city has suspiciously decreased and it is very difficult to get through to anyone by phone.

It is important to note that the execution order for Habibollah Latifi was not cancelled but rather it [was announced] as a stay of execution. This and the news of the arrests of the eight family members are reason for much concern.

اطلاعیه شماره چهار کمپین سراسری نجات حبیب الله لطیفی

بازداشت هشت تن از اعضای خانواده لطیف حبیبی و نگرانی از اجرای حکم اعدام

کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر- تمام اعضای خانواده حبیب الله لطیفی بازداشت شده اند و از لحظه دستگیری تاکنون هیچ خبری از وضعیت آنها در دست نیست.

این اتفاق پس از آن صورت گرفته که شب گذشته حکم اعدام حبیب الله لطیفی اجرا نشد.

لازم به ذکر است که بنابرخبرهای رسیده از سوی شهروندن سنندجی، در این شهر سرعت اینترنت به طرز مشکوکی پایین آمده و همچنین اختلالاتی در تماس‌های تلفنی به وجود آمد است.

از آن‌جا که حکم اعدام لغو نشده‌ بود و تنها اجرای آن به تعویق افتاده بود، این دست‌گیری دسته‌جمعی اعضای خانواده نگرانی‌های بسیاری را در میان ما به وجود آورده است.
