The Committee for Defense of Political Prisoners (CDPP) - Loghman Moradi and Zaniar Moradi, two political prisoners sentenced to death by public hanging contacted CDPP from Rajai Shahr ‘Gohardasht’ prison to seek help from human rights defenders and insisted that they were forced to confess under torture; that none of the accusations leveled against them were true.

According to the CDPP website, the two prisoners declared that the self-incriminating confessions they made regarding their armed activities and the murder of the son of the Friday Prayer Imam in the city of Marivan were extracted under torture and they played no role in the act [of homicide].

Loqman Moradi told CDPP, “We ask human rights defenders for help, because we really had no role in the assassination of the son of the Marivan Friday Prayer Imam. However, due to the extensive torture and threats of “sexual torture” and “the detention of our families” [had we not confessed], we were forced to make [false] confessions. No evidence was ever presented that would indicate we had a role in this act.

On December 28, 2010, Iran Daily, quoting Judge Abolghasssem Salavati, the head of branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court reported that Zaniar Moradi and Loqman Moradi were sentenced to death by public hanging on the charges of “Moharebeh”[Enmity with God] and “causing sedition and depravity on Earth”. On December 22, 2010, in a trial that lasted 20 minutes, Judge Salavati found these two Kurdish Iranian citizens guilty of being members of “Komeleh” (a Kurdish opposition party) and of participating in the July 5, 2010 assassination of Saadi, the son of Marivan’s Friday Prayer Imam, and two other individuals named Hadi and Abdollah.

Loqman Moradi added, “They need sacrificial lambs and they have chosen us [as their sacrifice].”

زانیار و لقمان مرادی زندانیان سیاسی محکوم به اعدام: تهدید به شکنجه جنسی شدیم

کمیته دانشجویی دفاع از زندانیان سیاسی: لقمان مرادی و زانیار مرادی، زندانیان سیاسی محکوم به اعدام در ملا عام، در تماسی از زندان رجایی شهر کرج با کمیته دانشجویی دفاع از زندانیان سیاسی، ضمن درخواست یاری و کمک از مدافعان حقوق بشر تاکید کردند که تحت شکنجه وادار به اعتراف شده و اتهامات منتسب به ایشان صحت ندارد.

به گزارش سایت خبری کمیته دانشجویی دفاع از زندانیان سیاسی (www.komitedefa.com) از تهران، لقمان مرادی و زانیار مرادی، زندانیان سیاسی محکوم به اعدام در ملا عام، در تماسی با کمیته دانشجویی دفاع از زندانیان سیاسی اعلام کردند که کلیه اعترافات اخذ شده در ارتباط با فعالیت مسلحانه آنها و قتل فرزند امام جمعه مریوان در سال گذشته تحت شکنجه صورت گرفته و آنها هیچ دخالتی در این اقدام نداشته اند.

لقمان مرادی به کمیته دانشجویی دفاع از زندانیان سیاسی گفت ما از مدافعان حقوق بشر درخواست کمک می کنیم برای اینکه واقعا نقشی در ترور فرزند امام جمعه مریوان نداشته ایم اما به دلیل شکنجه های زیاد و تهدید به “شکنجه جنسی” و نیز “بازداشت خانواده” مجبور به اعتراف شدیم و هیچ گاه نیز سندی دال بر حضور ما در این اقدام ارائه نشده است.

پیشتر روزنامه دولتی ایران در روز سه‌شنبه 7 دیماه، به نقل از قاضی ابوالقاسم صلواتی، رییس شعبه 15 دادگاه انقلاب تهران، اعلام کرده بود که زانیا مرادی و لقمان مرادی به اتهام “محاربه” و “مفسد فی‌الارض” به اعدام در ملا عام محکوم شده اند. قاضی صلواتی در جلسه محاکمه 20 دقیقه ای این دو شهروند کرد در روز چهارشنبه اول دی ماه 1389 آنها را به خاطر عضویت در حزب “کومله” و دست داشتن در ترورسعدی، پسر امام جمعه مریوان، و دو نفر دیگر به نام هادی و عبداللـه در شامگاه 14 تیر 1388 به اعدام محکوم کرده است.

زانیار مرادی و لقمان مرادی اتهامات وارده را قبول ندارند و می گویند تحت شکنجه قرار گرفته اند و اجازه نداشته اند از خود دفاع کنند. لقمان مرادی در این خصوص به ما گفت: “آنها نیاز به قربانی دارند و ما را انتخاب کرده اند”.
