Persian2English – Following the incident a few days ago when a prison official severely beat up Masoud Bastani, the imprisoned journalist was transferred to solitary confinement on the orders of the Rajai Shahr ‘Gohardasht’ prison warden.

Prior to this incident, Masoud Bastani had been hospitalized in Shahid Madani hospital in the city of Karaj and returned to prison in the middle of the night. Physicians warned that Masoud Bastani had suffered a brain hemorrhage resulting from his previous beatings by a soldier. When he returned to prison the warden gave orders that Masoud Bastani be transferred to solitary confinement.

On Tuesday Masoud Bastani was summoned to the prison court along with another political prisoner, Isa Saharkhiz, who witnessed the attack on Masoud Bastani. A formal complaint on the incident was launched so they had thought their summon to the court was regarding their complaint. However, at the court they were reprimanded and charged with “Disturbing public order” and “Causing conflict and insulting the prison warden”.

Recently 20 prisoners in Rajai Shahr prison have written a formal complaint about the illegal and inhumane conduct of Rajai Shahr prison officials. They have sent their written grievances to higher authorities and are now awaiting a reply. So far no response or acknowledgement has been given regarding this issue.

در پی ضرب و شتم مسعود باستانی توسط مامور زندان رجایی شهر،به دستور رئیس زندان این روزنامه نگار زندانی به سلول انفرادی منتقل گردید.

این زندانی سیاسی در روز پنجشنبه در حضور همسر،مادر و دهها خانواده زندانی دیگر مورد ضرب و شتم مامور زندان قرار گرفت.

به گزارش جرس، پس از آن ریاست زندان در محل حاضر شد و برخلاف تصور در حضور برخی زندانی ها و خانواده های آنها خطاب به وی شروع به فحاشی و هتاکی کرد. در پی این واقعه به علت مشکوک شدن پزشکان زندان به خونریزی مغزی مسعود باستانی به بیمارستان شهید مدنی کرج منقل شد و تا نیمه های شب در آنجا بستری بود. اما پس از بازگشت به زندان به دستور ریاست زندان به سلول انفرادی منتقل شد.

در روز سه شنبه این زندانی به همراه عیسی سحر خیز که هنگام ضرب و شتم مسعود باستانی و هتاکی ریاست زندان به وی در محل حاضر بود به دادگاه مستقر در زندان رجایی شهر فراخوانده شدند و در حالیکه تصور می کردند قرار است پاسخ شکایتی را که باستانی از ضارب و ریاست زندان تهیه کرده و در اختیار مقامات قرار داده است را دریافت کنند در آنجا به اتهام «اخلال در نظم عمومی» و «ایجاد درگیری و توهین به ریاست زندان» مورد بازخواست قرار گرفتند.

به بدنبال این رخداد، بیست تن از زندانیان زندان رجایی شهر از رفتار غیرقانونی و غیرانسانی مامور ضارب و رئیس زندان رجایی شهر شکایت کردند و مراتب را از طریق نامه به اطلاع مسئولین بالاتر رسانده اند و منتظرند تا پاسخ آنها را دریافت کنند.البته تا این لحظه هیچ پاسخی در این زمینه به آنها داده نشده است.
