Kouhyar Goudarzi, a member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters has been detained in Iran for more than one month. He was illegally kidnapped by security forces and taken to prison on July 31st. Iranian security and judicial authorities have not provided any explanation about how and why the human rights activist was detained. 

A day after his arrest, the security forces raided his mother’s home and arrested her, after searching and confiscating her belongings. Parvin Mokhtare was transferred to Kerman prison. No reason was given for her arrest and the judicial arguments presented were processed unjustly without any strong legal evidence. Parvin Mokhtare has no history of  breaking the country’s laws or engaging in political activities. She had only tracked the status of her imprisoned only child.

Parvin Mokhtare’s crime was not remaining silent when her son was caught by Iranian authorities. Her motherly senses and extreme support for Kouhyar’s freedom were so unbearable for security and judicial authorities that they were both sent to prison. It has been more than one month and Parvin Mokhtare is still held in Kerman prison.

Kouhyar’s only crimes were making persistent efforts in the field of human rights and being a member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters. In the past two years [following the June 2009 Iranian Presidential election and the ensuing protests] he and the other CHRR members were repeatedly abused by Iranian authorities. Kouhyar Goudarzi spent one year in prison for his objective reporting of human rights violations in Iran. During that year he launched hunger strikes to protest the inhumane and unjust actions of the ruling establishment. The hunger strikes resulted in the physical deterioration of his health and affected him even after his release.

Kouhyar Goudarzi was expelled from Sharif University of Technology for his human rights activities. After his release from prison, he contacted university authorities and expressed his intention to study again. Although the university officials approved his return to university, the Ministry of intelligence upheld the illegal expulsion order. This is not the first time that a top-ranking student was expelled from the best technological Iranian university due to political activities.

In the past two years, following the Presidential election, many Iranian intellectuals and world renowned figures have been imprisoned. 

Since, a month has passed since Kouhyar’s arrest, there is no news on his condition, he has not made any phone calls, and the judiciary and security officials have remained silent on the matter, concerns have increased regarding his physical health.

According to civil rights laws and regulations, a defendant has the right to inform his/her family immediately following arrest. Kouhyar Goudarzi was denied this right. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which Iran is a signatory of, freedom of speech is the right of all citizens, which means that citizens have the right to criticize their country’s condition through non-violent methods.

The Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR) is an independent and non-political organization that reports objectively on the human rights violations in Iran.  CHRR condemns the arrests of Kouhyar Goudarzi and Parvin Mokhtare and asks for their immediate and unconditional release.

جرم کوهیار دفاع از حقوق بشر است!

بیانیه کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر در اعتراض به ادامه بازداشت کوهیار گودرزی

کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر- یک ماه از بازداشت کوهیار گودرزی، عضو کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر گذشت. کوهیار از روز نهم مردادماه به شکل غیرقانونی و غیرمتعارفی توسط ماموران امنیتی ربوده و به زندان منتقل شد و در طی یک ماه گذشته مسئولان قضایی و امنیتی از ارائه هرگونه توضیحی در خصوص نحوه و دلایل این بازداشت خودداري کرده‌اند.

یک روز پس از بازداشت وي، ماموران امنیتی با هجوم به منزل پروین مخترع، مادر کوهیار، ضمن تفتیش و توقیف وسایل، او را نیز بازداشت و به زندان کرمان منتقل کردند. بازداشت پروین مخترع که بدون دلایل متقن و اقامه ادله قضایی در روندی غیرعادلانه صورت گرفت، درحالی بود که او سابقه هیچ نوع فعالیت سیاسی و تخطی از قوانین حاکم را نداشته، بلکه تنها پیگیر وضعیت تنها فرزند خود در زندان بوده است. جرم مادر کوهیار تن ندادن به سکوت در مقابل شرایط ناعادلانه‌ای بود که فرزندش در آن گرفتار شده بود. اما این حس طبیعی مادرانه و سابقه حمايت‌هاي بي‌دريغ وي در جهت آزادي فرزندش، تا آن حد براي دستگاه قضايي و ماموران امنيتي غیرقابل تحمل بود كه اين‌بار پروين مخترع نيز به همراه فرزندش روانه زندان شد. وي نيز با گذشت يك ماه هم‌چنان در شرايط بلاتكليفي در زندان كرمان نگه‌داري مي‌شود.

جرم کوهیار تنها فعالیت پیگیرانه‌ی او در حوزه حقوق بشر و عضویت در کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر بوده است. او نیز هم‌چون سایر اعضای اين كميته، طی دو سال گذشته بارها مورد آزار قضایی قرار گرفت وبیش از یک سال را تنها به دلیل گزارشگری و روایت منصفانه از وضعیت حاکم و نقض حقوق بشر در ایران، پشت میله‌های زندان سپری کرد و سه بار نیز به دلیل اعتراض به شرایط غیرانسانی و غیرعادلانه حاکم بر زندان دست به اعتصاب غذا زد که حاصل آن صدمات جسمی شدید بود که پس از آزادی نیز همچنان گریبان‌گیرش بود.

كوهيار گودرزي، هم‌چنين پيش از اين به سبب فعاليت‌هاي منتقدانه خود، از دانشگاه صنعتي شريف اخراج شده بود. وي پس از آزادي از زندان با مراجعه به مسئولان دانشگاه قصد ادامه تحصيل را داشت و درحالي كه كليه مراحل اداري طي شده و موافقت مسئولان دانشگاه جهت بازگشت وي به تحصيل نيز جلب شده بود، وزارت اطلاعات در روندي غيرقانوني حكم بر اخراج دائمي وي از دانشگاه داد.

اين اولين بار نيست كه يكي از نخبگان اين كشور كه با داشتن رتبه برتر در كنكور سراسري در بهترين دانشگاه فني كشور درس مي‌خوانده به سبب فعاليت سياسي از ادامه تحصيل محروم شده است. در دوسال گذشته، پس از انتخابات رياست جمهوري، بسياري از نخبگان ايراني كه در سطع دنيا افراد شناخته شده‌اي بوده‌اند، با اتهامات واهي روانه بازداشتگاه و زندان شدند.

اکنون با گذشت یک ماه از بازداشت کوهیار گودرزی، عضو کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر، سکوت دستگاه قضایی و مقامات امنیتی در خصوص بازداشت غیرقانونی کوهیار و مادر وی، نگرانی در خصوص سلامت جسمی وی را افزایش داده است. بيم آن مي‌رود كه اين بي‌خبري مطلق از شرايط اين فعال حقوق بشر و عدم تماس تلفني وي در طول يك ماه گذشته به سبب شرايط ناگوار او در دوران بازداشت باشد. نگه‌داري كوهيار گودرزي در زندان درحالي صورت مي‌گيرد كه طبق قوانين و آيين‌نامه حقوق شهروندي، متهم حق دارد بلافاصله پس از بازداشت، خانواده‌اش را در جريان محل نگه‌داري خود قرار دهد.هم‌چنين طبق اعلاميه جهاني حقوق بشر كه ايران نيز يكي از امضاكنندگان آن است، آزادي بيان يكي از حقوق مصرح و پذيرفته شده براي تمامي شهروندان است و‌ افراد حق دارند به صورت منصفانه و از روش‌هاي غيرخشونت‌آميز، شرايط كشور خود را نقد كنند.

كميته گزارشگران حقوق بشر به عنوان يك تشكل مستقل و غيرسياسي كه در سال‌هاي گذشته همواره تلاش داشته است تا با نگاهي بي‌طرف، به گزارشگري نقض حقوق بشر در ايران بپردازد، با تاكيد بر حق آزادي بيان و آزادي عمل در چارچوب قوانين موجود كشور و اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر، بازداشت كوهيار گودرزي و پروين مخترع را محكوم مي‌كند و خواهان آزادي فوري و بدون قيد و شرط آنان است.
