RAHANA Prisoners’ Rights – The main charges in Kayvan Samimi’s indictment were propagating against the regime and conspiring against national security. The indictment also includes charges such as participating in post-election protests and issuing statements questioning the validity of the election results. Samimi was arrested one day after the election and was in prison during the post-election events.

According to a report by Kaleme website, Samimi, who was arrested on June 13th, 2009 in his home, has been temporarily released on $100,000 bail to attend his daughter’s wedding.

Samimi was the managing director of Nameh Magazine (a publication now banned) and the website Kharabat. He was a political prisoner during the previous [Shah's] regime and is currently a member of the National Peace Council, the Committee against Arbitrary Detentions, the Committee in Defense of Citizens’ Rights, and the Right to Education Council.

شش سال حبس ‌و محرومیت مادام العمر از فعالیتهای سیاسی برای کیوان صمیمی

 

رهانا ـ زندانیان: اتهامات اصلی کیوان صمیمی تبلیغ علیه نظام، و اجتماع و تبانی برای برهم زدن امنیت ملی بوده است. شرکت در تظاهرات و صدور بیانه علیه سلامت انتخابات نیز از جمله اتهامات کیوان صمیمی مطرح شده بود در حالیکه وی یک روز بعد از انتخابات دستگیر و تمام این مدت در زندان بوده است.

به گزارش کلمه کیوان صمیمی روز ۲۳ خرداد در منزل شخصی اش بازداشت شده بود که پس از گذشت نزدیک به ۶ ماه به طور موقت و به خاطر حضور در مراسم عروسی دخترش از زندان آزاد شد. برای مرخصی ۱۰ روزه کیوان صمیمی، قرار وثیقه ۱۰۰ میلیون تومانی صادر شده است.

گفتنی است کیوان صمیمی پیش از این مسئولیت مجله توقیف شده نامه و نیز سایت مسدود سده خرابات را بر عهده داشته است. وی که سابقه بازداشت در زمان حکومت پیشین را نیر دارد، هم اکنون عضو شورای ملی صلح، کمیته پی گیری بازداشت های خودسرانه،کمیته حمایت از حقوق شهروندی و نیز کمیته دفاع از حق تحصیل است.
