Worker Protest Closes Down Tohid Tunnel in Tehran

The newspaper Aftabeh Yazd reports that the workers of Tohid Tunnel gathered in front of the entrance of the same tunnel they work for in protest of unpaid salaries. The gathering resulted in the closure of the connections between north and south Chamran Freeway from Milad tower to the entrance of Tohid tunnel.

Some of the workers were still wearing their uniforms during the protest and even lay side by side in the entrance of the tunnel, causing major traffic delays. The roads were closed until the police arrived 30 minutes later. The traffic caused many drivers to leave their vehicles and walk out of the tunnel. Many people had entered the tunnel with mobile phones and cameras in order to take video and photos of the protest, and this itself intensified the traffic problem.

كارگران معترض تونل توحيد در تهران را بستند

روزنامه آفتاب یزد: كارگران تونل توحيد، در پي پرداخت نشدن حقوق خود مقابل ورودي تونل اجتماع كردند.به گزارش شبكه ايران، بعدازظهر ديروز جمعي از كارگران تونل توحيد در مقابل اين تونل تجمع كردند.اين تجمع سبب شد تا مسير شمال به جنوب بزرگراه چمران از برج ميلاد تا درب تونل با ترافيك شديدي همراه شود.پيگيري شبكه ايران حاكي است، جمعي از كارگران تونل توحيد به دليل عدم پرداخت حقوق معوق خود در حالي كه برخي از آنها لباس كار پوشيده بودند به نشانه اعتراض در برابر وروديهاي اين تونل خوابيده و از عبور و مرور خودروها جلـوگيري كردند.اين اقدام آنها تا قبل از آمدن پليس راهنمايي و رانندگي، سبب شده بود تا نزديك به نيم ساعت، خودروها در ورودي و داخل تونل محبوس شوند. اين مسئله سبب شد تا برخي از مسافران اين خودروها با پاي پياده از تونل خارج شوند. همچنين برخي از شهروندان با تلفن همراه خود براي گرفتن عكس و فيلم از اين تجمع روانه تونل شدند كه اين امر نيز بر شدت ترافيك افزود.
