The wife of detained Assyrian leader of the Evangelical church of Kermanshah described his condition as dreadful after visiting with him in prison.
RAHANA – Reverend Wilson Issavi had visible marks as a result of torture on his body, according to his wife Medline Nazanin who visited with him in prison. Nazanin has been told by intelligence officials that the priest may face a death sentence.
Rev. Wilson Issavi was arrested on February 2, 2010 by agents from the Ministry of Intelligence while visiting one of his old friends in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan. He was taken to an undisclosed location.
Earlier, on January 3rd, Reverend Issavi’s house in Isfahan had been raided by intelligence agents. His church which is one the oldest churches in Kermanshah was sealed and his parishioners are under watch.
According to his wife, the reverend is held in an unmarked prison on Old Shahin-Shahr Road. She has only been allowed to visit with him once since his arrest. His wife was told by prison authorities her husband is accused of performing baptisms as well as converting Muslims to Christianity. He is awaiting trial and a death sentence.
On Sunday February 28th, intelligence agents raided the house of Hamid Shafiee and his wife, Reyhaneh Aghajari, two of Isfahan’s well known house-church leaders. The couple was arrested and taken to an unknown location and a number of their personal belongings including books and CDs were seized by [regime] agents.
Over the past few months, under government pressure, the Assemblies of God church had to stop Friday evening meetings, and the Assyrian Pentecostal church of Shahre Ara in Tehran was forced to close its doors.

رهانا: قانع قبادى، شبان(کشیش) کلیساى «پنطیکاستى» کرمانشاه که هم اکنون در آلمان بسر مى برد در این باره به رادیو فردا گفت: «خانم نازنین که یکبار موفق به ملاقات با کشیش عیسوى شده است، وضعیت کشیش عیسوى را اسف بار خوانده و از آثار شکنجه بر روى صورت وى خبرداد.»
به گزارش رادیو فردا، آقاى قبادى افزود: « کشیش ویلسون عیسوى روز ۱۳ بهمن ماه که براى دیدار یکى از دوستان خود به شاهین شهر در استان اصفهان رفته بود توسط مأموران امنیتى بازداشت شد. وى هم اکنون در بازداشتگاهى در حومه شهر اصفهان بسر مى برد.»وى همچنین گفت:« پیش از این نیز نیروهاى امنیتى در تاریخ ۱۳ دى ماه ۱۳۸۸ با یورش به خانه کشیش عیسوى در کرمانشاه پس از تفتیش منزل وى کلیه لوازمات شخصى و کتاب کشیش عیسوى را ضبط کرده بودند. بدنبال آن نیروهاى امنیتى کلیساى قدیمى «پنطیکاستى» آشورى را در کرمانشاه پلمب کردند.»
از سویى دیگر وب سایت فارسى زبان مسیحیان به نقل از خانم مادلین نازنین گفت مسئولین بازداشتگاه اتهام کشیش عیسوى «دادن غسل تعمید و مسیحى کردن مسلمانان» عنوان کرده و از احتمال حکم اعدام براى کشیش عیسوى سخن گفته اند.آقاى قبادى که خود از شاگردان کشیش ویلسون عیسوى است به رادیو فردا گفت، کشیش عیسوى بارها از سوى مقامات امنیتى مورد آزار و اذیت بوده و بارها بازداشت موقت شده است اما این اولین باری است که وی بطور جدى و طولانى بازداشت شده است. آقای قبادی همچنین اضافه کرد که کشیش ویلسون عیسوى فعالیت هاى مذهبى خود را در ترویج مسیحیت به رغم فشارهاى نیروهاى امنیتى همواره ادامه مى داد.
آقاى قبادى همچنین از تعطیلى کلیساى آشورى در شهرآرا تهران در اثر فشارها و تحدیدات نیروهاى امنیتى خبر داد.طى چند روز اخیر نیز نیروهاى امنیتى ریحانه آقاجرى و حمید شفیعى از نو کشیشان مسیحى را در اصفهان بازداشت کرده و به نقطه نامعلومى برده اند.

How much more should we suffer from those monsters?
Pastor Wilson and his family are friends of mine. He is one of the nicest, humblest, and kindest pastors I have ever seen in my entire life. He has been faithfully served at Kermanshah’s Assyrian Pentecostal church. I have been in his house and with him, and I have seen his work. Since no one cares in United Nations about the torture and persecution toward Christians in Iran, let me make some clarification about this matter according to my knowledge since I lived there and been a member of Assyrian Pentecostal church. Same thing happened a few months ago with Pastor Victor Tamraz, pastor of Tehran Branch of Assyrian Pentecostal church; he has been threatened to dead, and the church was closed by the government of Iran. Unfortunately, the Assyrian representative in Iran’s parliament, Jonathan Beit Kolia (sometimes called Yonatan), is one of those monsters. Even though he is originally an Assyrian, he is either blackmailed or, more confidently because I know him and his family since I was a kid, he has been bought by Islamic republic of Iran to be a spy for them and make good money to support his family who enjoy their lives in United States!! He is a liar and twofaced spy whose responsibilities are to report where worshipers are located in different cities in Iran, and to close any churches that don’t have any strong outside supporters, such as Assembly of God’s churches. Rep. Beit Kolia visited his family here in United States two years ago, and he has been interviewed by Assyrian National Channel represented by Sargon Dadisho at Ceres.
I wish and pray one day these twofaced betrayers be punished, and the democracy and freedom of religion place in Iran, and those heroes like Pastor Wilson Issavi become known by every Assyrian, moreover, by Christian all over the world.
